A Prayer for Stewardship

Gracious God, Creator of the universe, Giver of life and Source of every good gift; we praise and thank you for the wonder of your blessings; through your great power and faithful love, you have given us all we need to do your will. Inspire us with your Holy Spirit that we might be made an effective community of faithful stewards. Open our eyes to see anew your vision for Creation, humankind, and our common life together; then, inspire us to care for the abundance entrusted to us that we might share our gifts with true joy; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who reigns forever in your glory. Amen.

The Church of the Holy Apostles is an Episcopal church in the Diocese of Maryland. As an Episcopal church, our life together begins in worship. Every Sunday morning, we have two services of Holy Eucharist that inspire our mission and ministry. Education for all ages is offered each Sunday, as well. All people are invited to worship with us, and share the love of God in this place.

The Church of the Holy Apostles is located in the Southwest area of Baltimore County in the township known as Arbutus. Arbutus is a small community ten minutes from Baltimore near Interstate 95 and the Beltway. The congregation has been a part of the Arbutus community since 1884. Over the years, Holy Apostles has viewed itself as a vital part of Arbutus, and continues to seek ways to serve the community.

The Church of the Holy Apostles is a spiritual home for all generations. Our congregation has little children and retired seniors, people from the Arbutus area and those who travel from surrounding counties, families who have been connected to the parish for generations and singles who are new to the area. We respect the various gifts that all individuals bring to our congregation. Much of our parish life is an intergenerational experience that values the contributions of all people in every generation.

The clergy and parishioners of the Church of the Holy Apostles look forward to welcoming you to our church. At Holy Apostles, newcomers are always welcomed, and their ideas, efforts, and presence are genuinely sought. We invite you to participate in this community of Christians seeking to bring God’s love to the world.
